Professor Rafat Siddique is the Senior Professor of Civil Engineering & Dean, Research and Sponsored Projects at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He obtained Ph.D. from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani in the year 1993. He did 22-months of post-doctoral work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. He has extensive teaching and research experience in structural Engineering of more than 33 years.
He is the editor of Construction and Building Materials (Elsevier) and Associated Editor of Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering (ASCE), and Journal of King Saud University (Engineering Sciences). He is also on the Editorial Board of several Elsevier Journals.

He is rated amongst the top 15 top researchers in the world in the area of sustainable construction materials/concrete technology having 16000+ Citations with an H-Index of 68 (Google scholar).
