About The University of Da Nang
The University of Danang, popularly referred to as DU, is a regional multidisciplinary, public university located in central Vietnam.
The university was established in 1994 as a reorganisation of its four former institutions and now consists of eight different institutions that offer undergraduate, graduate and PhD programmes in various disciplines ranging from economics, education, foreign language, medicine and pharmacy. The university also offers a wide range of training programs in different technical subjects.
The university, which aspires to be a leading research-oriented university in the region, has international partnerships with a wide range of academic institutions across the world including the University of Sunderland in the UK, and University of Washington in the USA.
The university is a member of different organisations and university networks like the ASEAN University Network and the Kultur Studier. The university has developed partnerships with a number of top universities across the world and facilitates student and faculty exchanges through bilateral educational collaborative programs.
The University of Danang also has a high research reputation in the region has more than 30 centres dedicated for training, scientific research and technology transfer.
There is a youth union that regularly organises several kinds of curricular and co-curricular activities every year to facilitate the overall growth and development of its student community. Cultural events and music programmes are organised throughout the year for students.
